The 'votes issue' is becoming quite bothersome with many friends saying they have not received any verification email and others saying they are being asked to register with the site.
Here is what I sent the event admin folks and their reply:
Hi,
My question is, after a friend votes and gets an error message on the page that should say 'we have sent you an email to verify...' will the name and email id be registered and the verification be sent post the technical problems gettting sorted? We cannot really ask these people to re vote so I do hope the vote gets registered and the verification mail will be sent soon.
We have lost at least 15 votes that I know off.

We are aware of the situation that in some cases users are not getting confirmation email while they are voting . Be assured that no vote will get lost. We will be sending confirmation email as soon as issue is resolved.
If you are using your official emailId for voting, due to security firewalls it is possible that your TGDC emails are getting blocked. You may try voting with any of your personal emailIds too.
